Send Mail As Your Alias

When you join Reboot Realty™, we assign you an email address on our consumer-facing domain name. This is an email “alias” that forwards/redirects all incoming email to the email address we have on file for you. When a person sends an email to your Reboot Realty email address, it will be delivered to your existing email inbox. More than likely, this is going to be a Gmail account. However, if you reply to that received email, the receiver will see your address as the sender. This is not very professional, as you know.

The Solution

In order to send mail as your Reboot Realty email alias, you will need to setup the feature by following the instructions below.

Gmail Send Mail As

Your company email address ends in @Reboot.Realty, NOT @RebootRealty.Com. Please be sure to use the right domain name.

1. Request Your SMTP Password

Submit your Reboot Realty email address below. We will generate a password and send it to you within 24 hours. Come back to this page when you have your SMTP password to finish setting up your email services. Skip this step if you’ve already received your SMTP password.

  • Passwords ARE NOT generated in real-time.
  • Do not proceed until you have your password.
  • Do not use this feature to send out mass emails. It is for correspondence only.

2. Access the Send Mail As Settings

Login to your Gmail account from a desktop or laptop computer.

Click on the settings cog, then click See all settings.

Once you’re in the settings area, click the tab called Accounts and Import.

Under the Send mail as section, click Add another email address.

3. Input Your SMTP Settings

On this screen enter your Reboot Realty email address. Make sure Treat as an alias is checked. Click Next Step.

Below are the SMTP settings you need for this next screen. After you’re done entering the correct information click Add Account.

  • SMTP Server:
  • Username: Enter your Reboot Realty email address
  • Password: Enter the password that was generated for you
  • Port: 587
  • Leave Secured connection using TLS selected

Okay, the hard part is done. If you did everything right then you should see the screen below. Gmail will send you an email with a confirmation link. Click Close window to continue to the next step.

4. Confirm Your Email Address

Head on back to the inbox. You should see Gmail’s confirmation email just like our guy Clark Kent. Open it.

Click the confirmation link.

Click Confirm.

Congratulations! You can now use Gmail to send mail as your Reboot Realty email alias. Close out of this tab and head back to your inbox so we can do a couple of tests.
